Look! I have finally gotten a Weekly TBR up on Monday! I’m getting back on track~!

Currently Reading

One Good Earl Deserves a Lover (The Rules of Scoundrels, #2)

I’m currently in the middle of One Good Earl Deserves A Lover (seriously I’m 52% into it). It is… as usual with this author’s works, I have mixed feelings. Continue reading “It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?”

Mini Review Round Up: Contemporary Romances

Another round up and this time we are going with romances. I read so many of these nowadays, I’m sure we aren’t surprised by this round up theme ^_^. I was able to narrow this lot down to contemporary romances, but even so there is quite a variety!!

Here are the books reviewed:

»Did Not Finish

So many DNFs this week!! 😭 I’m now heading towards a slump.

Raised in Fire (Fire and Ice Trilogy, #2)Delinquent Demons (Paranormal Prison)Fierce Alpha (Chimeric Alphas, #1)Bone Crier's Moon (Bone Grace, #1)Spindle and Dagger

I tried Raised in Fire after not really liking book one because I like other books by the author. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out.
Delinquent Demons also didn’t work for me real quick.
Fierce Alpha I tried to wait it out and hoped it would get better, but it hit me the wrong way.
Bone Crier’s Moon✌is the saddest DNF I’ve had in a while. I got over halfway through and was so annoyed by the characters I couldn’t continue ☹
Spindle & Dagger ✌🐲 I quite quickly, but only be because of errors in the ARC formatting. So, I put it on my ‘try again later’ shelf.

# of books from my Weekly TBR:

»Currently Reading

Resurrect (The Blooming Courts #1)The House in the Cerulean SeaThe Bird and the Sword (The Bird and the Sword Chronicles, #1)

Still only 3% into Resurrect … I haven’t felt like picking it back up 😕
I started The House in the Cerulean Sea and it seems so sweet and precious, which wasn’t the book type I was craving, so I put it on hold.
Yesterday, The Bird and The Sword was speaking to me. I started it and felt relief. Finally after a few DNF’s and duds in a row I found something that has caught my interest.

Other News

Books: I did okay staying to the weekly TBR, but not so great on pushing those ARCs. It’s just… I haven’t liked most the ARCs I’ve read lately– most are DNFs which is super disheartening.

Watched: Currently into season 8 of Bob’s Burgers — I didn’t even realize there were this many seasons! I also watched the full season of 100 Humans on Netflix. Totally didn’t realize I was at the end until pretty much the last bit of the finale. It is… interesting, but I had hoped for more science.
I’ve also picked up John Oliver’s show on Youtube again. Last Night Today, I think it is called?? I adore that show.

Reviews: I got so many reviews in! I went from needing to write over 100 down to 90. And yeah, some of those are me just taking books off the shelf because I can’t remember them anymore, but I’m still counting it because the shelf amount is lower!

What am I listening to?

Really? Anything. I’ve been picking all my daily mixes on Spotify or coffee shop mixes when trying to work, listening to rain sounds when I read, and even threw in some pop just because.

Other: My dudes, I’m currently working from home. This isn’t super easy as a librarian, but I’m trying to make it work. With this virus going around I’ve gotta put my goal of getting outside more on hold haha.

BUT, I have been playing Skyrim! My fiance went for a nap and BOOM! I had time to use his computer. Now he is trying to give me time to use it when he does his schoolwork in the afternoons. I’m finally making progress in this damn game.

Hopefully I’ll have more time to play Skyrim in the afternoon~ but until then I’ll be reading.

The Bird and the Sword (The Bird and the Sword Chronicles, #1)

For starters, totally The Bird and The Sword. I can’t put anything else because I’ve been almost in slump territory for the last 3 days. I don’t know what I want to read either and that’s the problem. I’m hoping after this book I’ll be hope to anything so I can get my library books under control….

What are you doing on this lovely Sunday?

State of the Arc #2

Happy Saturday, friends!

Last year I shared my ARCs weekly, but that was starting to feel like a bit much and made me more guilty than motivated to finish anything. I’m hoping a monthly post will be better for me. Therefore, I’ll be trying out State of the ARC, hosted by Avalinah’s Books !😁

I totally missed doing this in February (whoops!!)

Anyhow, let’s see how this month is…
