Sweetpea (Sweetpea, #1)Trail of Lightning (The Sixth World, #1)Finding Perfect (Finding Perfect #1)Chainbreaker (Timekeeper, #2)The Devilish Duke (Saints & Scoundrels, #1)

Sweetpea by C.J. Skuse
While I do like reading books about serial killers (wow, what a way to start a normal sentence), I don’t like Bridget Jones’ Diary, which this book is compared to. It sounds interesting, it does, but some of the reviews (even the positive ones) are telling me this isn’t the style for me.

Trail of Lightning by Rebecca Roanhorse
This one was recommended to me and I plan on reading it eventually, I swear!

Finding Perfect by Kendra C. Highley
This one sounds adorable cute and lovely — I even loved another series by this author. The thing is, I rarely ever read cute YA romances anymore. So, I’m trying to stick to the ones at my work I can talk up to other people.

Chainbreaker by Tara Sim
I can’t believe I never continued this series… Timekeeper is an awesome book. So, hopefully I’ll get back to this….

The Devilish Duke by Maddison Michaels
None of my libraries have this one 😭

♛ The Highs

Oh goodness, I added sooooooo many. 60!?! How even?? I kind of went on a adding spree. Here are my top ten from what I ended up keeping after cleaning all of that up.

Deven and the DragonOne by OneThe Witch's HeartThe Hitman's Guide to Tying the Knot Without Getting Shot (The Hitman's Guide, #3)Hook: Dead to Rights (Captain Hook)

  • Deven and the Dragon by Eliot Grayson
Dragon shifters! Magic! Romance! Standalone?! ^_^
  • One by One by Ruth Ware
I read Turn of the Key and rather enjoyed it, so I think I want to give this one a try.
  • The Witch’s Heart by Genevieve Gornichec
Norse myth retelling of a witch who falls in love with Loki and her determination to save her family.
  • The Hitman’s Guide to Tying the Knot Without Getting Shot by Alice Winters
YES! The next one is coming out ^_^ I didn’t even realize there was going to be another~~ I’m so excited for more Leland.
  • Hook: Dead to Rights by Melissa Snark
Okay, I don’t usually have good luck with Peter Pan retellings, but this sounds AWESOME. She’s Captain Hook! She wants to save the lost boys!

Jade Fire GoldThe Orphan of Cemetery HillThe Cold Is in Her BonesMirka Andolfo's MercyTeen Titans: Beast Boy Loves Raven

  • Jade Fire Gold by C.L. Tan
She can steal people’s souls!! Also, it is compared to Tamora Pierce books and A:TLA. I’m sold.
  • The Orphan of Cemetery Hill by Hester Fox
1844 and this orphan can communicate with the recently dead. Not my usual type, but I’m oddly drawn to it.
  • The Cold in her Bones by Peternelle van Arsdale
Inspired by Medusa and it isn’t a love story??? I’m very interested.
  • Mercy by Mirka Andolfo
This is the author who wrote Unnatural which I… mostly enjoyed — I was just a wee bit confused. Anyhow, this sounds gothic, dark, and not too terribly scary. We will see.
  • Teen Titans: Beast Boy Loves Raven by Kami Garcia
Ummmmm, yes please! Beast Boy was fun and now they are finally going to meet up!!

TBR TOTAL: 1126

Last week? 1108. Ouch….
I haven’t been reading much lately because I couldn’t concentrate (fevers kick my ass y’all) and I also found a TON of great sounding books. It probably doesn’t help that a lot of the books I am adding are sequels on ones I’m currently reading haha. Hopefully next week will be better!

What is new on your TBR??
