    • ALTERNATIVE OPTION: Find 5+ titles that are at the BOTTOM of your TBR—books you want to read someday, just not right now!
  • Post those 5 books in the list, with a brief explanation
  • Next, sort your Goodreads TBR shelf by date added, descending
  • List the last 5 (or more!) books you added to your TBR, with a synopsis or your brief summary of why you added it (the “highs”)

✘✘✘ The Lows ✘✘✘

Boundary Crossed (Boundary Magic, #1)Nightshades (Nightshades, #1)Aru Shah and the End of Time (Pandava Quartet, #1)Leah on the Offbeat (Creekwood #2)Dead Scared (Lacey Flint, #2)

Boundary Crossed by Melissa F. Olson
Nightshades by Melissa F. Olson
Okay, I usually try to keep just one author’s series on my TBR if I’ve never read anything by them before, but both of these sound amazing and different. 1 is about an ex-army vet who finds out about the supernatural when they come to kill her and kidnap her niece, so she has to strengthen up to protect her. The other is UF with the main character working for an FBI equivalent, which is something I looooove.

Aru Shah and the End of Time by Roshani Choski
This isn’t me saying it sounds bad, I just never read MG and I have such a difficult time picking up YA now that I can’t force myself to try reading MG too…

Leah on the Offbeat by Becky Albertalli
As much as I liked Simon, I wasn’t a huge fan of Leah’s character… which is why I put this one off and now…. yeah, I’m never going to pick it up.

Dead Scared by Sharon Bolton
This first book was AMAZING! I really want to be in the mood to pick this one up some day…

 The Highs

The Bright and Breaking Sea (Captain Kit Brightling, #1)I Will Make You PayProtecting What's MineDirty Talk (Get Dirty, #1)Blood Heir (Aurelia Ryder, #1)

  • The Bright and Breaking Sea by Chloe Neill
While I wasn’t a fan of her Chicago Vampires series, she wrote that years ago– long enough I think I feel comfortable giving her another try, especially since this one is pirates~
  • I Will Make You Pay by Teresa Driscoll
A group read! I thought I added this to my TBR already…
  • Protecting What’s Mine by Lucy Score
After reading By a Thread I definitely need to read more slow-burn Lucy Score!!
  • Dirty Talk by Lauren Landish
This one looks and sounds so good~~
  • Blood Heir by Ilona Andrews
    Julie’s book!! 😀

Toilet-bound Hanako-kun, Vol. 2プ女と野獣 JKが悪役レスラーに恋した話 1 [Pujo to Yajuu: JK ga Akuyaku Wrestler ni Koi shita Hanashi 1] (Cutie and the Beast, #1)A Touch of Darkness (Hades & Persephone, #1)These Violent Delights (These Violent Delights, #1)A Good Day for Chardonnay (Sunshine Vicram, #2)

Unlike her friends who are into pretty boys, Momoka has a crush on a giant professional wrestler named Kuga who plays a villainous heel on TV. But in real life, Kuga is a big softie, and he really appreciates her fan mail! In this lighthearted romantic comedy, a little TV crush for a very big man might just grow into something more.

Too cute to pass up!! I really hope my library buys it T_T

  • A Touch of Darkness by Scarlett St. Clair
A Persephone tale where she can’t get anything to grow– instead kills everything. Hades wants her to breathe life into the Underworld and so her secret might be about to come out…
  • These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong
Perfect for fans of The Last Magician and Descendant of the Crane, this heart-stopping debut is an imaginative Romeo and Juliet retelling set in 1920s Shanghai, with rival gangs and a monster in the depths of the Huangpu River.
There is so much good in just this one sentence…
  • A Good Day for Chardonnay by Darynda Jones
YES! The next book is coming out soon~~~ I’m so psyched!

TBR TOTAL: 1113 — a 9 book decrease from last week 😲

Ah… I think I might have removed some books from my TBR yesterday. I spent over an hour looking for a book to appeal to me and some casualties bore the cost. I have been reading quite a bit off my TBR too though!! So, go me~!

What is new on your TBR??
