I’m Joining Round 7 of Tome Topple!

Me? Joining a Readathon?? I’m honestly a bit shocked myself.

Longer books usually aren’t my jam — I get intimidated and worry I’m not reading fast enough [although this last issue is a whole other issue I will probably be talking about later], but there are in fact longer books on my TBR that I want to read.

So, when I saw that Melanie over at Meltotheany was joining this round of Tome Topple, I looked into it and realized it is the perfect time for me to join in.

I’ve got some longer books I want to read by the end of the year and I have a 4 day weekend because of the holiday.

Tome Topple is a two week long readathon hosted & created by Sam from ThoughtsonTomes.

This round is taking place from Nov. 16th (at midnight) to Nov. 29th (at 11:59PM).

Host & Co-Hosts:
Sam from Thoughts on Tomes

Adriana from Perpetual Pages
Sarah-Jane from The Book Life
Sian from Readers’ Rambles
Caz from Little Book Owl
Sam from @willread4booze

These are the people to follow for updates and such!

  1. Books must be 500+ pages
  2. No story collections/bindups. (except for graphic novels)

While the main rule is to read 500 page books, these are here in case we need TBR help 🙂

  1. Read more than 1 tome
  2. Read a graphic novel
  3. Read a tome that is part of a series
  4. Buddy read a tome (check out the goodreads group to find a buddy!)
  5. Read an adult novel

There will also be some Instagram challenges… you can find out more information on these social media sites:

Phew~ Okay, now what to I’m reading 😀

A Conjuring of Light (Shades of Magic, #3)

A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab –624 pages

Are any of us surprised by this pick? This book was literally the first thing to pop into my head when I read about this Readathon– it is the REASON I’m participating!

The Name of the Wind (The Kingkiller Chronicle, #1)

The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss — 662 pages

On a recent T5W post I put a poll asking you all to help me decide which of the longest books on my TBR to read before 2019. This one is the winner! And it came at such a great time!

The Bone Queen (The Books of Pellinor, #0.5)The Riddle (The Books of Pellinor, #2)The Crow (The Books of Pellinor, #3)The Singing (The Books of Pellinor, #4)

The Books of Pellinor by Alison Croggon
The Bone Queen (#.5) — 416 pages
The Riddle (#2) — 490 pages
The Crow (#3) — 511 pages
The Singing (#4 final) — 496 pages

Yes, I’m rounding for most of these, but can we agree that they are still pretty extensive tomes??

And No, I’m not crazy, I know I won’t be able to read all of these 🙂 I’ll go crazy not finishing books all the time ^_^ But, if I can read 3 or 4 of these– heck if I can at least read A Conjuring of Light and one other book completely, I’ll consider this Readathon a HUGE success.

Will you be joining in with this Readathon? Let me know what you’re reading and if you have any tips ^_^ I’m also down to try buddy reading any of these!

Good luck and have fun!

      1. I agree. It is an author requested book so I might just join you guys but read only this book… I get stressed easily. I am going to bookmark your post and dedicate my review to you when I write it. You have been so understanding and so supportive 💞💕
