Monthly Wrap-Up May ’18

Hello there! This is how I can keep track of how much I read, check in on my Reading Challenges, and share my favorite books of the month, so I have some idea for the end of the year ^_^Not a bad reading month, but like I predicted, my lack of wanting to read– or keep to my weekly TBRs did impact my amount, but it wasn’t my worst month!

This month I read 41 books

Here are the top 10 books I read this month:

aka books I still think about or want to/have recommended

Touched by an Alien (Katherine "Kitty" Katt, #1)Gemina (The Illuminae Files, #2)The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1)Written in Red (The Others, #1)My So-Called Bollywood Life

The Hating GameAgnes and the HitmanErak's Ransom (Ranger's Apprentice, #7)Divided in Death (In Death, #18)The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

  • Touched by an Alien by Gini Koch
Honestly, still surprised by how much I liked this book.
  • Gemina by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff
Cannot believe I have Obsidio on my shelf but have yet to read it…
  • The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
Slightly cheating because I am including the first 3 books in this series here. I’m so excited for the final book.
  • Written in Red by Annie Bishop
Cheating again! Counting the first 4 books which honestly probably the best things I read this month.
  • My So-Called Bollywood Life by Nisha Sharma
A Netgalley book! What a surprise, but it was such fun.
  • The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
  • Agnes and the Hitman by Jennifer Cruise & Bob Mayer
  • Erak’s Ransom by John Flanagan
This series seems to always have a spot on this list 🙂
  • Divided in Death by J.D Robb
Surprisingly, I only read this one book in the series… and one novella… shocking
  • The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows
A huge surprise for this list, considering I didn’t think I would like the book. Wow.\

Reading Challenges/Goals Update

»Goodreads Reading Challenge

May GR reading update

umm… wow? I honestly didn’t think I would finish this many books in 5 months. I don’t think I’ll update it, because I’ll be busy and then starting a job, so… I’d rather not stress about it, yeah?

Wow.. .

»Pop Sugar Reading Challenge

Currently at 37 out of 52 books! That is up 7 from last month. Considering the prompts are getting more difficult, this is a great number! I’ve started reading books specifically to meet prompts, but I might have to do better.

Here is my sheet if you want to check what I’ve read so far.

»Read 12 audiobooks/one a month

Well… whoops? I was going to listen to The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue but I didn’t get to it in time. I have only just started The Bat by Jo Nesbo — nordic noir for the Pop Sugar Reading Challenge 😉

I’m at 5/12 still though, so now I just can’t afford to miss a month.

»Series TBR Takedown

I hit the number I was looking for, but I would have been a bit more happy if I had gotten one more book in.

Gemina (The Illuminae Files, #2)The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1)The Dream Thieves (The Raven Cycle, #2)Blue Lily, Lily Blue (The Raven Cycle, #3)

Total Read: 27/53 — 50%

Halfway! YAY!

How did your reading go last month?
