Tuesday Talks is for anyone who loves to discuss certain topics covering books, authors, libraries, book stores and so much more. Tuesday Talks consists mainly of Book tubers and bloggers, but anyone can join on discussions and can share their thoughts. We also encourage input from members on topics to discuss as well.
Tuesday Talks can be found on Goodreads!. This week’s topic is: Have you ever returned to a book you DNFed and finished it?
I don’t believe I have… at least not within the last few years. There is one book I remember receiving as a present as a kid, I think Paige (?) by Tamora Pierce and I was into it but, not really. I was pretty young. Then a few years later I got into Tamora Pierce with the first series within the Tortall World, Alanna: The First Adventure, and then I realized I owned the second book of the last series (at the time) in the same world. When I read it that time, I was hooked.
So, I suppose if I start the book and realize it is within a series I haven’t started, then I’ll give the first book a try and come back if I like what I’m reading.
As for all my other DNF books (yeah they are adding up now….), I feel like I don’t finish them for a reason so, I trust myself and I don’t go back.
Do you DNF books often? Have you ever gone back to a previously DNF book and finished it?
